Nokia 5800 Phone

The folks that handle Christina Aguilera’s video shoots have either taken a nod from Britney Spears, or Nokia is lining their pocketbooks.  The Nokia 5800 has another spotlight in Christina’s new “Keeps Gettin Better” video.  The precious few seconds that the phone shows is not quite as prominent as the Spears shot (i.e. the Nokia name on the phone itself is not as prominent, but it does get a full 5 seconds of “video time”.

Nokia’s marketing strategy is becoming more and more clear.  Its like the old drive-in movies that would show short shots of popcorn and Coca-Cola during the commercial breaks.  You don’t really notice so much consciously, but your unconscious mind is screaming “I gotta have that!”

Both videos are questionable on the artistic side, but Nokia knows that if they get enough views via YouTube for these videos, the anticipation will continue to build before the 5800 XPress Music release.
