Buy Nokia 5800 on T-mobile, can I put a different network Sim card in it?

If I buy the Nokia 5800 from the Carphone Warehouse, it will cost 209 Pounds on T-MOBILE. But if I buy this will I be able to put my ASDA Sim Card (or a new ASDA Sim Card) into the phone and it will just work.

  2. Since you asked this on the US version of the website, but you used UK currency, I assume that you are on the other side of the pond? I’m not sure if T-Mobile UK locks cellphones. I certainly know that in the US, however, you would have to obtain an unlock code to be able to use one carrier’s phone on another carrier.

    However, if you tell the man behind the counter at Carphone Warehouse that you want the phone to be unlocked, they usually do that for you.

    Quite often, the phone from Carphone warehouse end up being unlocked except the Iphones and the 3 network phones.
